Miami/FL From February to July 2018 event organizers, sponsors and guests will be treated to Five official Fashion Weeks with galas and continuous runway showcases spanning the globe. The launch of Five for Five ™,will showcase sponsors’ brands, messages and trademarks to coincide with Five International Fashion Weeks set to unspool with brand activations and targeted press and media campaigns.
Five for Five™ was formulated by the influential consultancy VIP/AdAvenueGroup to address a world where consumers are inundated with information. “We help event planners and guests alike sort through a great deal of information efficiently and effectively,” says Andrea Guardino, California based VIP/AdAvenueGroup Account Executive. “This includes publicity and media alerts aggregated by news powerhouses. Five for Five is joined by VIPictures, an innovative brand building public relations collective in association with LSD Productions with red carpet spokesperson Lisa Sussman from their offices in Paris, Los Angeles, Houston and Florida’s Palm Beaches,” confirms Guardino.
It is a truism of business-book thinking that a company’s brand ‘ is its most important asset’ more valuable than its technology, patents of manufacturing prowess. Yet trademarks have never been more fragile. With the boarding up of brick and mortars, fracturing of the marketplace and much savvier consumers; we have become wary of the proliferation of false claims. The ongoing repetition of the sponsors message integrated into a true and engaging story matters more than ever.
Exclusive Participation in 5 Global Fashion Weeks provides an unparalleled opportunity to showcase sponsors brands -products – fashion collections and company from March to July of this year as the key to being ‘Seen – Heard & Understood’ over a prolonged period of time an additional hedge on creating customer loyalty.
Five For Five provides the perfect pushback for an exclusive host of sponsors, designers and brands that plan to participate in the five month, fully integrated and targeted press campaigns. Also tailored to the sponsors specifications are on site activations, bespoke printed collateral, photo opportunities with celebrities and targeted sales initiatives. Five for Five coincides with Five Top Tier Fashion Weeks featuring Ft Lauderdale Fashion Week in March to Cannes Fashion Gala in May, Miami Fashion Week with Antonio Banderas and Julio Iranzo in June, Miami Beach Swim Week in association with Showroom -305 in mid July and a grand July finale in Medellin, Colombia for Moda Fashion Week.
Francois Huynh, co-founder of VIP/AdAvenueGroup confirms, “the formation of Five for Five consolidates five stand-alone events with an ongoing media campaign and brand showcase under one breath-taking banner! We have worked hand-in-hand with the Fashion Week producers since 2015. It is our intent to woo distracted and often jaded top tier guests to further brand loyalty and increase the profitability of the organizers endeavors. The transition from ‘one off’ initiatives to an ongoing five months of press and publicity collectively strengthens and leverages the event , sponsors and underwriters visibility. We brings their message consistently to our base of 1.8 million news evaluators, editors, bloggers, influencers and business associates. With well-timed updates, the ongoing and developing story is a win-win for all involved.
“By partnering with Five for Five the sponsors, underwriters and brand activators substantially reduce their media allocations and fiscal investment with a five month bundle of cross plat- formed promotions to assure optimal returns. Repetition of the brand message is framed at A List events to a top drawer and targeted audiences, special guests and celebrities. The heretofore elusive Press Corp that comprises over 75,000 fashion, luxury, philanthropic correspondents and news writers can only help to respond.” says the ever upbeat Florentina West.
Five for Five launched Monday – February 5 to advance the city wide sanctioned Ft Lauderdale Fashion Week, March 15-17, produced by the alluring Florentina West and business entrepreneur and partner Grant West. Five for Five crosses the Atlantic in May to be present at the 71st Festival de Cannes for a haute couture International Gala dinner produced by Andres Aquino at the Carlton Hotel. Aquino is a master showman best known for New York International Fashion Week at the Crown Plaza. Returning to sunny environs, Lisa Sussman, segment producer will take to the Red Carpet to interview Five for Five VIP guests at Miami Fashion Week set to un-spool May 30 under the direction of Julio Iranzo and Antonio Banderas, who assumed the mantle to further their philanthropic endeavors.
“Fashion will then ‘Swim the Globe’ during Miami Beach Swim Week, July 12-15, in association with Jennifer Sclafani’s Showroom-305 presenting 8 distinct collections to a cadre of domestic and international buyers. The highlight of Five for Five will be the foray to Colombia Moda Fashion Week in Medellin July 24-26, an event that draws from an international set while advancing the robust textile and fashion community, ” confirms Zoraya Jelke-Gomez.
A proprietary Eventbrite API integration, a global leader in selling event tickets and promoting events is also integrated into Five For Five. Corporate brands and event planners can now take advantage of theaward-winning Invite The Media platform, which boasts a targeted database of 1.8 million journalists, news reporters, and content producers. Invitations (printed and online) are sent to the local and captivated media, targeted to magazines, bloggers and influencers who in turn promote our events. “We also target social media, calendars and on target media outlets,” says Kacie J. Lives, California VIP/AdAvenueGroup liaison. “The Five for Five platform and its functionality is designed to shine the media limelight on these international Fashion Weeks and their participants translating into increased commercial value and tractable R.O.I.”.

Miami.Fl/ Acknowledged among a group of exhibitors and attendees as, ‘the Best Show -You Didn’t See at Art Basel 2016!’ , Daniel Stanford’s ‘Love is Eternal – Gov. Love is Toxic‘ was a standout among thousand’s of exhibits, 22 Art Fairs, and countless galleries converging throughout South Florida the first week in December 2016.
‘Love is Eternal’ 40″ x 60″ mixed media on panel
The tightly wound, four day celebration of contemporary and museum quality art un-spooled to the delight of 80,000 discriminating art collectors, guests and glitterati that attended Art Basel week.
A vast number of guests claimed they were sidelined this year by gridlock, a season of uncertainty and an atmosphere best likened to clown cars navigating a three ring circus. The good news is Stanford’s solo exhibit remains in the Shore Club Lobby through January 2017 by popular demand. Select pieces, including the politically charged piece, “In Who We Trust”, have also been installed at Macaya Gallery in the Wynwood Art District.
Stanford’s fourth annual solo exhibit at Art Basel did not disappoint the discerning art aficionados that sought him out. For almost half a decade Daniel Stanford‘s colossal renderings have emerged as a top selling draw at Art Basel. The posh populous discovered throughout the Shore Club Lobby a gauzy sort of curatorial diversity imagined by Ali Aliabadi of ArtCierge, a fine art leasing company. Also entrepreneur Eddie Bernstein’s conceptual collection of artist Cerj Lalonde presented a retrospective that spanned three decades.
Guests were treated to Stanford’s evolving mastery of a mixed media triad that includes painting, photography and encaustic wax. The most recent installation of his ongoing series ‘FascinAsia’ shows a depth of subject that traditionally was drawn from a quorum of curvaceous females, stallions and destination totems in motion with a palette of organic colours predominantly burnished copper, silver and buttery gold.
Stanford’s success speaks to his prescience in capturing cultural shifts from bling and glam, to transcendental consciousness to today’s fearful, frustrating and extraordinary times. Times that thrive on instant gratification and obscene consumerism.
At the forefront of a growing genre referred to as ‘Neo Pop Art’ associated with Damien Hirst, French Artist Patrice Murciano and akin to their predecessors Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, Stanford’s growing acclaim has landed him in the private collections of Rihanna, Snoop Dog and Rock Nation’s concert promoters.
A master craftsman and philanthropist, his ‘Gov Love is Toxic’ sequence resists in image and subject matter, an age of cruelly indifferent authority and the decline of everything.
Upholding standards of civility and diplomatic aplomb, as a descendant of Caribbean and Canadian educators and community activists, Daniel says with his inimitable calm, “I do not buy into the decline of everything, my raison artistique is to adhere to a standard of living that evokes passion, elan and compassion in equal measure.”
His craft evokes Renaissance & contemporary masters, think Caravaggio and Vermeer meets Klimt & Warhol, while drawing his subjects from iconic stars in the constellation of popular culture. Stanford’s growing acclaim boasts commissions from oligarchs to captains of industry who wish to preserve the beauty of their wives and daughters in acrylic and canvas.
In the sensual embrace of the female form he treats the body as a temple element; posed, fragmented and vaguely erotic. “His is a sort of sensual art that is at once unsettling and alluring,“ according to Subat, who graced us with a live performance at the Gala evening!
Overlaid with gold leaf, precious jewels, Swarovski crystals and poetic messages from Baudelaire, the calligraphy recalls that of Jasper Johns, Peter Beard, Rafael Mazzucco and the chalky tally marks of Jean Miguel Basquiat; if any of them had taken a class in Stanford’s finely-crafted penmanship.”
An intrepid traveler; his work has been exhibited from Brazil to Cambodia and it is a global perspective that informs and inspires his latest collection, ‘Gov. Love is Toxic’.
“Distinguishing between ‘fact’ and ‘fiction’ is a formidable challenge that often ends with life and death consequences speaks of urgency in his work. When asked why the departure from ‘classic beauty ‘ to a clearly agitprop perspective he insists, “Whether one falls on the ‘Right’ or the ‘Left’, Governments are, by their very nature, corrupting. Citizens must align with causes that put all people and nature on equal footing. We are at the precipice of a new era that finds living beings poised on a slippery slope into an abyss of darkness.
‘Art’ is ’truth’ in the Orwellian sense. “These are ‘times when if the past is erased, and the erasure is forgotten and the lie becomes truth’. “Je’refuse to be about that” he insists. Art is beauty, beauty should be in the art”.
Daniel Stanford‘s solo exhibit at the Shore Club, a luxury, seaside Morgan Group Hotel (www.morganhotelgroup.com -Ian Schrager Founder) occasioned nightly celebrity gourmet food demonstrations by Chef Irie, Amy Hymes, and Michael Baptiste underwritten by the Boy’s Epicurean Market and PDFFoods. Proceeds from the week were donated in behalf of Michelle Tidor Kids and Families Against Stop Hit & Runs Foundations.

The ArtBasil IX pop-up Beauty Bar was presided over by Leslie Munsell, Founder of ‘Beauty For Real’ luxe cosmetic line, Sherine Bichara’s ‘Elixir for Life’,Monisha Mulwani Fine Jewelry, Nefrititi Secret and Haute Marche.

Showcasing many different aspects of veganism, which is a lifestyle, not a diet, “we have tried to tackle planetary concerns that range from animal cruelty, health, the environment and big agriculture to circuses, the fur industry, hunting and more”. Take a deep breathe and love what you eat!

Curator and artist representative Ali Aliabadi – of ArtCierge, Artist Management & Luxury Art Leasing and Sales company, say’s “Stanford’s international elan lend’s visibility to his decidedly collectible fine art. His vision captures a moment in time and history that speaks of predictable and grave consequences for humankind and the planet if we fail to take Daniel’s visionary art affirmations and prescience to heart, as evidenced in ‘Gov. Love is Toxic’.”

New York/New York A mismatch of floral, pastel and print; a New York Fashion Week style trend? A hip-hugging pencil skirt topped with a demure voile blouson, chandelier earrings and a timeless clutch with a coral clasp inspired by street savvy girl sashaying her way in East Harlem has made its way onto countless catwalks.
From September 8 to 15 the season-less, sensible and sensual served less as a fashion forecast than a bold statement about the disruptive times at hand. In the absence of any rhyme or reason from politics to social mores the disruption in fashion is palatable. As New York prepared to commemorate the soul searing cataclysm of September 11th – a bit of lighted hearted cheer seemed as good a defense as any. In a world racked with out breaks of reprehensible darkness; good cheer took on rainbow colors, a riot of flowered prints worn with a graphic tee and abandon pop-up’s blooming throughout the Manhattan grid.
Glam Versus Sham
Tom Ford’s familiar, candlelight dinner signature style and Kanye West flippant and facetious, Adidas collaborator, faced off from the far ends of the fashion spectrum.
Every facet of the industry from designers, purveyors to button hole makers are rethinking and re-evaluating every step of the production process. Manufacturers are weighing in on the side of humane treatment of factory workers abroad (and here) if only as a marketing ploy, textile makers are ‘Going Green’ by incorporating organic dyes. artisanal weaves and recyled denim. The goal to satisfy a season- less collection cycle in a market that insists on instant gratification.
Emerging designers and start-ups grapple with how to break through a crescendo of choices while creating a cohesive brand message. According to Shelby Knick, a triple hyphenate, photographer, former Burberry stylist, and automotive maven for the TV Reality Show, ‘Racer Girl’, “to attract a following in a saturated marketplace while staying true to oneself is a fine line. Understanding your customer and identifying with their tribe is a competative edge”. A member of the Complex Film Team led by Director Christian Johnston she is geared up to debut an auto inspired, utility line of tech wear. Fashioned from titanium the 1st collection is forged from the planet’s most indestructible and rarest metal.
As spokes person’s of the world’s first Titanium Automobile, the 2016 Icona Vulcano with a sticker price of 2.6 million the RG X SH line of jewelry, designer sportswear and accessories will relegate platinum to the back seat. She created the RG X SK line inspired by race gear sported by auto aficionados from Daytona to Monte Carlo.
Says Fashion arbiter Alexander Fury, of the New York Times Style Magazine, “There is a glut of clothing at every price point, especially in high fashion, where labels proliferate and multiple seasons (spring, prefall, winter, resort, capsules galore) concurrently jostle to justify a seemingly endless influx of clothing”.
Fashion Week Then and Now
The annual NYFW enters its 70th year, what once was a haute couture precursor to next season’s must have wardrobe has morphed into an upheaval of see now – buy now curiosities.
While dining at the century old watering hole PJ Clark’s, a haunt for newscasters the likes of Brad Gilbert, ESPN Announcer covering the U.S. Open Tennis Championship and photo news journalist, Michael Merrins, son of Golf legend L’il Pro Merrins commented that when his mother, a former Rockette was high kicking at the Copa, Fashion Week in the 60’s “was a serious sartorial barometer for next season’s fashion forecast.”
The mood throughout the proceedings was patently inclusive. A reflection of a nation in push back with Black Lives Matter, the LGBT community pushing boundaries with fashion and diversity. Christian Siriano, who made his name on “Project Runway”, dressing First Lady Michelle Obama and the zaftig , Leslie Jones, “Ghostbusters” Premiere advanced an ethos of inclusivety with sweeping standouts for all shapes and sizes. Winning legions of fans on and off the cat walk. Extreme youth, thinness and height no longer carry the day.
Rather than relegating last season’s looks as ‘so yesterday’ to make way for the ‘new collections’ – fashion has become transcendent timeless and nuanced-set pieces that could inhabit the salons of the Belle Epoque, as well as, today’s post modernist sensibility keys lead the way.
Eshewing the overtly sexy cum trashy for the allure of youth (no matter the age) a preference for long sleeves, high necklines and below the knee skirts were de riguer made to flatter any body type.
As the pendulum swings to more modest sartorial statements model agencies such as ‘Underwraps’ who’s owner, NailahLymus and JaharrahAli, both hajabis (women who cover in the Muslim tradition) were quoted in the New Yorker as saying, “whether or not a model is covered her beauty is on display”. Among those embracing mannequins for wide range of body types are Ford +12 Division, specialty agency Dorthy Combs Models of Miami.
Signaling a departure from strip club and skanky to modestly chic was evidenced at the AI Show at the Skylight and Monihan Station on September 8. Designers to watch are AdrianEscoto – New York, Bianca Zidik – Illinois, Melody Hernandez – Dallas, Julissa Arrington – San Francisco, Devon Pezzano -Philadelphia, Mimmy Begazo – Miami, Rene Mejia -Ft Lauderdale, Esther Ashiru – Vancouver and Maria D’ Ocon with a pièce de resistance wedding gown.
